Raby Castle, Park and Gardens are open to visitors seasonally from 5th May 2013 until the end of September as detailed below.
- Guided Tours – available on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays throughout May, June and September
On weekdays throughout May, June and September we operate a guided tour system of the Castle. Our knowledgeable and friendly house guides will take you on a tour of the Castle to discover its fascinating history and beautiful interiors.
Guided tours last approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. There is no need to book in advance, our admissions staff will book you onto a tour when you arrive. In general the first tour of the day begins shortly after the Castle opens at 1pm, and then take place every half an hour throughout the afternoon. Please note the last tour of the day will be at 15.20, after which there will be no further admissions to the castle.

- Freedom to Explore - every Sunday and weekdays throughout July and August
If you prefer to stroll around and take in the castle at your own pace, then we operate a free-flow system on Sundays, bank holidays and everyday throughout July and August, due to increases in the number of visitors in the castle at these times.
During free-flow days, our knowledgeable guides will be in each room of the house to offer you guidance should you need it, feel free to ask them anything you desire to know! There are also informative room notes to help you in every room. There will be no guided tours in operation during these times.
