The 11th Raby Classic Vehicle Show comes to town on 22nd August 2010. Organised by Mark Woodward Classic Events, this is just one of 18 shows held at different locations throughout the country. These ever popular events are always real crowd-pleasers for petrol heads and nostalgia seekers alike; featuring over 300 classic cars, classic trucks, commercials, vintage tractors and motorcycles.
Private exhibitors bring along their lovingly restored Rolls Royces, Jaguars, Sunbeams, Aston Martins, Vauxhalls, Minis and Morris Minors, along with a plethora of other cars to marvel at, whilst for bike enthusiasts, there’s always plenty to entertain, with lots of pristine motorcycles to pore over, including the much loved BSA’s and Nortons.
There will be displays from many classic car clubs with an above average turn out of 1930’s cars, trade stands and an autojumble for anyone hunting for a rare or obsolete part, or simply looking to bag a bargain.Organiser Mark Woodward said “A lot of my events are hosted at prestigious venues such as Raby and I love seeing the gorgeous vintage vehicles driving through their grounds. The Castle makes a stunning backdrop for this event. Raby is so well known and easy to find, I’m sure it’s the perfect venue for this show”.
With parades, running commentaries, judging of the classes, competitions and prizes throughout, there’s lots to enjoy for the whole family. Admission is from 10am until 4pm with adult tickets just £6 and youths aged 7-14’s priced at £2.50 (Children under 7 are free of charge). Admission includes the large gardens, deer park, tea room, carriage museum and gift shop. A small top up fee applies to visit the castle. Ample car parking is available.
