A long tradition of Christmas opening continues this year in the grounds of Raby Castle.
Christmas Trees, Shop, Tearooms & Santa!
Although the Castle and Gardens remain closed for their Winter slumber, you can still bring the family along to pick out your freshly cut Raby Estates real Christmas Tree before heading into the Christmas shop, decked out in festive glory to choose new decorations and gifts, then settle down in the cosy tearooms to warm up with a hot chocolate before visiting Santa in his woodland grotto (must be pre-booked on-line).
"Santa is a very busy man and unfortunately he is now fully booked for children to come and see him at Raby Castle. He'll soon be getting ready for his long journey around the world, so we cannot take any further bookings. Don't worry, he'll still be visiting your house on Christmas Eve!
Wishing you a Merry Christmas and sprinkle of pixie dust,
On Sunday 11th December from 10am until 4pm, we will be hosting the Taste of Teesdale seasonal outdoor market, organised by Barnard Castle Farmers Market, with a hand-picked selection of stalls offering food & drink ideas from around the region. Pick up your real Raby Estates Christmas tree while you’re there too!
'Pop-Up' Venison & Game Shop!
