Our refurbished Tearooms will be open from 9am every day from Saturday 24th March and regular visitors will notice that it isn’t just the décor that’s changed.
Tickets are no longer required to access the Tearooms and Gift Shop and we hope this will make it much easier for people to visit regularly.
The Tearooms is a cosy place to meet friends for coffee and this year we will also be serving a selection of brunch dishes including avocado on toast and locally sourced eggs, bacon and sausages.
Come with family and friends to enjoy a delicious lunch or afternoon tea. We will have a wide selection of snacks, sandwiches, lunch dishes and cakes on offer daily. Click here to view the full menu.
Some of the local producers that feature in the Tearooms and Gift Shop include McColls brewery in Evenwood and Lonton coffee, which is roasted just down the road in Mickleton. Because our Tearooms are licensed, you can also enjoy a glass of wine with lunch or even add prosecco to your afternoon tea for that extra sparkle.
If you are searching for a special gift for someone, you’ll find plenty of inspiration in our gift shop. We have gift ideas for foodies, stylish homewares and a section especially for children which includes dressing up outfits for Medieval games.
Children will also find plenty of options on the Tearooms menu to help them refuel after exploring the Woodland Play Area.
On fine days visitors will be able to enjoy refreshments outside in the courtyard where we will have a new covered seating area and outdoor refreshment truck.
We will be serving food and drink every day throughout the season from 9am to 5pm. If you would like to combine your visit with a tour of the Castle, Park and Gardens, these are open from Wednesday to Sunday. Tickets are required for the Castle and grounds but access to the Tearooms and Gift Shop is free.
